Stepback Art Reveal | Scarlet by Marissa Meyer

Now this one is truly exciting. I'm excited today to be part of the stepback art reveal for the brand new paperback release of Scarlet by  Marissa Meyer ! Given my choice, I knew I had to pick Scarlet & Wolf's book, as it is easily my favorite novel in the  Lunar Chronicles . And let me tell you, Macmillan has done such a fabulous job with these new covers . Happily, all four paperbacks release on February 4th, and I can't wait to get my copies. I can see Aaron's expression now. But honestly, at this point he's made his peace with my multiple-edition collecting habits. As he told me today, he knew what I was when he picked me up. Likewise, love. And here is the stepback (which just happens to depict one of my favorite scenes in the book): She did not know that the wolf was a wicked sort of animal, and she was not afraid of him. And in case you haven't seen them yet, here are the four new covers:  Aren't they gorgeous? Have you read this s...

All the Little Bones Cover

Have you heard? Ellie Marney has a brand new series on its way, and she revealed the cover for the first book, All the Little Bones , just the other day. Isn't it a beauty? I absolutely love it. This is the first book in Marney's new Circus Hearts series, which is described as dark YA romantic mystery. Otherwise known as music to my ears as it's coming from the woman who gave us Every Breath   and No Limits . This first book follows a teenage trapeze artist and an apprentice strongman on the run from the law, and I can hardly contain my excitement. All the Little Bones is due out September 1st and will go live for pre-order August 21st.

Cover Reveal + Q&A: A Season of Daring Greatly by Ellen Emerson White

As longtime readers of the blog know, I am a full-fledged Ellen Emerson White fangirl and have been for something going on time immemorial. What this means is that a few years ago, having just finished reading my local library's copy of The Road Home for the second time in as many days ,  I sat on the couch, brandished the book at my newlywed husband, and told him I was seriously considering never returning it (my conscience did eventually kick in and I meekly returned the library copy— after managing to procure a copy of my own, naturally).  What this means is I went on to purchase an obscene number of out of print copies of the same title   (before it was available as an e-book) and proceeded to send them winging their way across the globe to homes where I knew they were needed.  What this means is that I refer to Ms. White's characters by their first names in casual conversation (pretty much on a daily basis) with friends and family memb...

Cover Reveal: All for You by Laura Florand

Forget what I said before about pacing ourselves when it comes to upcoming pretties. We are just gonna go ahead and switch over our regular programming to All Covers All The Time .  And today's reveal is an absolute delight. You all know how I feel about Laura Florand 's Amour et Chocolat books, which is to say roughly how I feel about a box of delicate macarons, a cup of rich hot chocolate, and a plane ticket to Paris— put them in my hands. So that's why I was over the moon to hear Laura is launching a whole new series set in Paris and featuring three young women attempting to make their way in the male-dominated world of French haute cuisine. All for You  focuses on Célie who was Dom's chef chocolatier in The Chocolate Touch , which thing fills me with glee. Because snippets of Dom! Some crushes aren’t meant to be When her older brother’s best friend left to join the Foreign Legion, eighteen-year-old Célie moved on to make a life for herself as a Paris choco...

Cover Reveal: Never Judge a Lady by Her Cover by Sarah MacLean

I’ve always loved cross-dressing heroines – the trope is probably my most favorite of all the romance tropes, so when I wrote Chase, I wanted to play with the cross-dressing heroine idea. She doesn’t just dress in trousers – she’s also built a persona to match. She's a pre-Victorian Wizard of Oz, so to speak, thought to be a man, but one who has never been seen in public, and about whom very few people know the truth…namely, that he’s a she. - Sarah MacLean When I was offered a chance to get in on the cover reveal for Sarah MacLean 's fourth and final book in the Rule of Scoundrels series, I sort of couldn't say no. This is Chase's book, you guys. Chase . And I'll admit to hoping for some time now it would be Duncan's as well. Cross-dressing and the Angel and glimpses of old friends and what in the world is going to happen  and, well, all I can do is wait impatiently for November.
