Summit Entertainment has cast the entire Cullen family. And here they are.


I like them. I particularly like the third one of "the kids." The four of them are protecting you from a fuzzy background Jasper who is going to eat you Right Now.

    They look great. I'll have to get past the fact that Esme (I'm assuming thats who she's playing) was a pregnant comma patient in Grey's Anatomy for a season. She'll have to seriously change her character for this!

    That's so funny. The only time I've seen her was in The Family Stone, and she was pregnant in that one too!

Interview with April Lindner + Jane Giveaway!

I'm very excited about today's interviewee. As you know, I had been looking forward to the publication of Jane for months when a review copy happened in my lap and I let out a gasp of joy. Being a modernized retelling of Jane Eyre with a rock star-ized Mr. Rochester named Nico and a cover that hits every last one of my aesthetic buttons, it was sort of made to order for this reader. Needless to say, it more than lived up to my not inconsiderable expectations and I have been recommending it on a pretty much daily basis to family, friends, co-workers, neighbors . . . you get the picture. Close Kin by Clare B. Dunkle

Close Kin   is the second book in  Clare B. Dunkle 's Hollow Kingdom trilogy. It takes place around five years after  The Hollow Kingdom   and follows Kate's younger sister Emily. Or at least it seems to. Where  The Hollow Kingdom   stuck pretty closely to Kate's story,  Close Kin   jumps around a fair bit, splitting its time three different ways as it traces the paths of Emily, her friend and would-be suitor Seylin, and an extremely unhappy elf named Sable.  When Emily fails to take Seylin's romantic advances seriously, half goblin/half elf Seylin informs the Goblin King he is leaving to search out his other heritage and see if he can find any elves who managed to survive the last goblin harrowing. He does, in fact, come across a rather feral group of elves but, having suffered much in the name of mere survival, they are barely recognizable as the beautiful, carefree creatures Seylin dreamt of.
