  4. I teared up too! It was just so beautiful. Laughing and crying at the same time. PMS is so fun.

  5. Oh thank God I'm not the only one who teared up. That was absolutely wonderful!

Amy -- running with the whole PMS excuse; that works.

  7. I'm so glad you all enjoyed it. And no worries about tearing up. I got all glassy-eyed myself. You nailed it, Kip, things seemed brighter after watching it. I loved how it seemed to make all the train station goers happy almost in spite of themselves.

Interview with Diana Peterfreund + Rampant Giveaway!

Ever since I fell in love with Diana Peterfreund 's Secret Society Girl series last year, I've been hoping I'd get the chance to interview her here. Tomorrow marks the release of her new novel, Rampant , and let me tell you that you have not read a book like this before. You can read my review here , but all you really need to know is that it's a story about killer unicorns and the young women who hunt them. You want to read it now, don't you? Shiver Blog Tour: Interview with Maggie Stiefvater + Giveaway!

When the opportunity to interview the delightful Maggie Stiefvater came my way, I literally jumped at the chance. I've been a big fan of Maggie's ever since I read (and loved) Lament last year. I had the pleasure of meeting her at BEA in May and I can tell you she is as spunky and funny and delightful as you would imagine the creator of Dee and James and Luke would be. Her new novel, Shiver , has just been released and you can read my review here . To celebrate the release Maggie kindly made some time in her hectic schedule to answer a few questions. The result is well worth reading. Enjoy! First things first: What was it like seeing (and stroking) Shiver in hardcover for the first time? Um, absolutely amazing. I was actually nervous about seeing it for the first time -- as in butterflies in my stomach odd. Which anyone who knows me well can tell you is very, very bizarre. I knew my editor was going to give me one when he met up with me at ALA, and I was more nervous for t...
