Retro Friday is a weekly meme hosted here at Angieville and focuses on reviewing books from the past. This can be an old favorite, an under-the-radar book you think deserves more attention, something woefully out-of-print, etc. Everyone is welcome to join in at any time! So this is a book I've spent a lot of time talking about. Chances are, if you've hung around these parts, you've heard me push it. But I actually read it for the first time way back in the olden days before the blog was, well, what it is now. I read it shortly after it was first published, back in 2007, when I was writing monthly posts, mere collections of mini-reviews. So Song of the Sparrow got shortchanged. That's a lot of *smoldering* going on there, on all parts.
ReplyDeleteIt is just begging me to put little talk bubbles in it, though . . .
It really is, isn't it? And it is positively calling out for talk bubbles, Maggie.
ReplyDeleteI would sooo love to see what Maggie would come up with for this one!
ReplyDeleteBlissfully, I remain in the minority: I so heart Jacob. Even if Taylor isn't the Jacob in my head. (Ah, did that sound weird?)
You made me do it, Angie. I'm blaming you. And you, Chelle.
ReplyDeleteChelle, there is no weird anymore when it comes to the Twilightverse. And Jacob is most wonderful.
ReplyDeleteMaggie, New Moon talk bubbles FTW!
Pretty good - even though I am not on Team Jacob I think Taylor will do a good job.
ReplyDeleteMarnieColette, I agree. I was happy they kept him.
ReplyDeleteI like Taylor as Jacob. I can reconcile him with my imaginary one. It is a good poster.
ReplyDeleteShallow, yet pretty. I likie. That is some serious fog going on. I'm excited to see Jacob in this one thought.
ReplyDeleteJennyGirl, I know. I could tell right away I liked him. So what if he's not tall? :)
ReplyDeleteLiza, me too. The 3 of them like that--it works.
I love it. And thank heavens for a little love for Team Jacob.
ReplyDeleteJanssen, to quote Jessica, "I know, right?"
