Watching and rewatching this is making me incredibly happy. Especially the part where Richard Armitage sings. *quietly fangirls*
I'm very excited about today's interviewee. As you know, I had been looking forward to the publication of Jane for months when a review copy happened in my lap and I let out a gasp of joy. Being a modernized retelling of Jane Eyre with a rock star-ized Mr. Rochester named Nico and a cover that hits every last one of my aesthetic buttons, it was sort of made to order for this reader. Needless to say, it more than lived up to my not inconsiderable expectations and I have been recommending it on a pretty much daily basis to family, friends, co-workers, neighbors . . . you get the picture. It's now just under a month until the book is out and, in anticipation of the release, I invited April Lindner over to dish about all things Jane. She kindly accepted. Please welcome April! First things first: The Cover. I am in deep smit with that cover. Did you have any input and what was your reaction upon seeing it for the first time? I adore the cover too, and was blown away the...
What a particularly awesome thing to have seen today. Thank you for pointing it out, Angie. Come on NEXT December! :D
ReplyDeleteI am also thrilled to death that Richard Armitage is in this movie!
ReplyDeleteOh how I love me some geek fantasy! And Richard Armitage? Still looks good, even as a dwarf.
ReplyDeleteNo surprises that the RA singing bit was my favourite part too!
ReplyDeletePrecious.....Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteAck, I HAVE to read the book before this comes out. I'm already ashamed enough that I haven't read it already. It looks amazing!
ReplyDeleteI am so there with you. I mean, with a voice like that, I figured he could sing, but...still.
ReplyDeleteIs any one else tempted to start calling him "Thorton" Oakenshield?
ReplyDeleteSo excited for this. Equally excited for June 2012 when the Hobbit and LOTR Lego sets hit the stores.
LOL - I think I need to go re-read this book so I can imagine Richard Armitage in it. I didn't know about him when I first read it years ago.
ReplyDeleteUsually I don't like to have the movie characters in my head while I read. I like my imagination better. But in this case, I will make an exception. :)
sigh....no matter how you dress him up, you can't hide the awesome that is Richard Armitage.
ReplyDeleteKenda, I know. A whole year . . .
ReplyDeleteLin, *highfive* Yay for RA!
Melissa, lol. So true. So true.
Marg, I knew you'd be particularly pleased with that bit. ;)
baby, my pleasure.
Melanie, doesn't it? And, naturally, I really do recommend the book.
Chelle, indeed. I just . . . sigh.
Kim, HA! That is what I am calling him from here on out.
Misti, if ever an exception were warranted, it's now!
Liz, you are so right.
