There's really very little to say, isn't there? I hope you are well, wherever you are. I hope that your loved ones are. I hope that you're finding small ways to stay afloat, to remain connected to something, someone, someplace (real or fictional) that sustains you. Dark and difficult times, indeed. I've rather been holding on to this review. I felt so much, so quickly, so irrevocably for this book that it rapidly became hard to talk about to anyone who hadn't read it. And so I hope I can do it justice, just barely enough justice that, if you haven't, you'll run right out and do so. Now is the perfect time. I feel strongly that this book is what you need in your life at this moment. And so. You might want to prepare yourselves. I'm about to wax rhapsodic. But first, and introductory excerpt: At the end of that session, Fay said, What if it's not what happened with this boy you regret, it's you? It's the you who you left behind. It's ...

That braid is too cute!
ReplyDeleteI bet she felt so pretty! I love her hair!
ReplyDeleteSpectacular hair!
ReplyDeletebtw, Angieville followers, notice the picture on the wall in the background--those are 4 generations of mothers and daughters. So, so cool!
I'm so sad I didn't do that with my grandmother, mother, and daughter when I could have.
What kind of camera do you use?
ReplyDeleteYour kids are adorable! I'm sure you already know that. :P
ReplyDeleteI love her dress! And that smile is perfect. She looks so grown up and Will makes a great pirate.
ReplyDeleteSo cute! :)
ReplyDeleteHow cute! And I love her hair.
ReplyDeleteThat is a WICKED Rapunzel dress. Wasn't your daughter Cinderella last year? It's good to know your children are good and proper Disney fans!
ReplyDeleteThey're both gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteWow... I can't believe how big your kids are getting!!! So cute, you always do such a great job with costumes. =) Hope you are doing well! =)
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, guys. They had a great time and I have such a fun time on Halloween with them.
ReplyDeleteSally, good eye. We took one on my side as well when Piper was about 10 months, and I'm very glad we did.
Allie, my husband is a photographer and so I benefit from his excellent skills & equipment. For the top two shots he was using his Nikon D700. The bottom one of the braid I took with my iPhone. lol.
Lizzy, you're absolutely right. She's been a princess two years in a row. Although she tells me very emphatically that next year she's going to be Ahsoka from Star Wars. That's my girl.
I LOVE the flowers in her hair! Gorgeous!
