Ooooo! I had seen the cover for Fire, but not for Shiver. As if I wasn't already dying to read it! That cover is gorgeous - can't wait! And I'm looking forward to catching up with Scarlett and Spencer, too. Thank you, thank you, for posting these!

The Fire cover is beautiful, plus it's similar enough to Graceling so that you can tell it's part of the same series.

The Shiver cover is really striking, I would definitely pick it up in the store to have a closer look.

Oh, I can't wait for Fire and Shiver. The covers a re great. Do you know if Scarlett Fever is a sequel to Suite Scarlett (a book I haven't read)? The model looks the same.

  5. Princess Allie, you bet! Hope Graceling is treating you right. :)

Chelle, you are so welcome. I, too, am really excited about getting back together with Scarlett and Spencer. Such a great brother/sister relationship there.

Li, you're right. I'd pick Shiver up for sure based on the cover alone. It has a bit of the How I Live Now going on. Very exciting.

Anon, yes! Scarlett Fever is the sequel to Suite Scarlett and I highly recommend it. Hilarious.

  8. The cover art for Fire is simply stunning. I have Graceling sitting near the top of my YA TBR pile... it's also a lovely cover.

I also have to agree that shiver looks very tempting. I'm drawn to it as well.

That is an amazing cover for Cashore's next book! I am looking forward to reading more from her. Graceling was very good, I heard about it from you :)

  11. Emily, I know! So red and fiery. I'm very glad you liked Graceling. Hopefully Fire will be just as good.

Triple Prize Pack Giveaway!

Not long ago I discovered a few of you tweeting to get me to the 300 follower mark. As little things I read on Twitter often do, that one sort of made my day. You're all really too sweet for words and I joked that perhaps it was time for a giveaway. The truth is I've been in the mood to have one for awhile now and this is as good a time as any. So here's the deal. This will be a triple prize pack giveaway , meaning there are three packs and you can indicate which one you'd like to be entered to win in the comments. I will choose three random winners and contact them. This giveaway is open to anywhere The Book Depository ships! Here's the list of countries , FYI. Interview with Alexandra Bracken + Brightly Woven Giveaway!

I fell in love with the cover of Alexandra Bracken 's debut novel-- Brightly Woven --last fall and the scant synopses I could find at the time certainly piqued my interest. After managing to get my hands on an ARC, I found myself surprised and pleased with this unique fantasy. You can read my review here . As the release date approached, I invited Alex to participate in an interview and giveaway here on the site and, despite her crazy busy schedule, she kindly accepted. Enjoy! First things first: When did the idea for Brightly Woven first hit you and what (if anything) did you know right off the bat? I remember the exact moment it hit me—what I was doing, who I was talking to, what song was playing on iTunes.  :)  I had just come back from Winter Break my sophomore year in college and was sitting on my bed chatting with my mom.  Sophomore year was pretty remarkable in terms of the insane weather that we had in Virginia (where I was in school) but it had also been a bizarre year in
