I can't quit Jennifer Echols . Not that I really try that hard, but I read her new ones and often feel as though I'm still searching for that one in possession of that certain something that will make me feel the way Going Too Far did. Like I couldn't put it it down. And definitely like I didn't hate either of the main characters after the fact. Well, I found it with Such a Rush . I read this 300+ pager in a single night, which clears up the question of whether or not I couldn't put it down. And I finished it definitely not hating either of the main characters. I didn't finish it loving them both unreservedly, though. I loved Leah with my whole heart from page one and that never changed. My feelings regarding one of the Hall brothers remain complicated. More to come on this in a bit. On a side note, I'm delighted that Such a Rush is Ms. Echols' hardcover debut. It's a meticulously designed book, a pleasure to hold in my hands as I stayed up way
I LOVE this cover and am already imagining it on my bookshelf.
ReplyDeleteSo do I, Kristen. I let out a gasp of appreciation the moment I saw it.
DeleteOh yes, I have preordered this. :) Uh huh, we're thinking alike on this one.
ReplyDeleteGood on you, speedy! I can't wait.
Delete* girly squeal*
ReplyDeleteHehe. Precisely.
DeleteI like this cover aside from the fact the model looks a little too young to me.
ReplyDeleteShe does look young. But then the original one looked way old to me. And, uh, WELL-ENDOWED.
DeleteI want to get a copy of this too!
ReplyDeleteI just can't envision not having it on my shelf!
DeleteNice! Much more like my idea of Kate.
ReplyDeleteLove this! I hope this means new covers for the rest of the series!
ReplyDeleteWouldn't that be sweet?
DeleteNice. I'll have to preorder this one since I'm curious about the bonus material (!).
ReplyDeleteHappy belated birthday. We moved yesterday and things are crazy. I tried to comment twice using my laptop without luck. I also loved the pictures of your children.
KarenS
I know! I'm hoping for Curran POVs and maybe some stuff we haven't read.
DeleteThanks so much, Karen. I can't believe you're moved! I know how crazy that can be. Hope unpacking and settling in goes smoothly for you.
Thanks, Angie. Now that I'm able to use my desktop computer, the world feels right again! I'm ignoring the chaos behind me... K
DeleteI wonder what that first time in print thing will be. I think they blogged about it, but I just forgot. I already own all of the books, but I doubt I'll be able to resist getting a copy of this, simply because I'm a Kate and Curran addict.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I'm thinking possibly some Curran POV stuff, but I can't remember for sure.
DeleteLove finding fellow addicts, btw. I am an unrepentant one. :)
Oh man. Why do publishers do this to us?!
ReplyDeleteI know, Christine. It's impossible to resist!
