  2. I LIKE it, but I still love the mass market with the shoe :) Nostalgia probably since I've read it so many times...I actually could use a new copy. I might have to indulge!

  5. Marg, exactly! I love how clean it is. I think I could more easily hand this copy around to a variety of people, you know?

Allison, I know. It feels like an indulgence, but I think I'll need to get a second copy as well. But when it's of a book I'm so fond of and will reread many times, I don't feel so bad. ;)

    Holly, isn't it great?

    Sandy, ooh. Must check mine.

I wish the copy that I bought had that cover because it's so eyecatching and it doesn't exactly scream romance novel.

  8. April, I know. That's why I love it, too. That way new readers won't be influenced one way or the other and will give it a fair chance.

Erin, it really does deserve it. I'm so glad you loved it, too. I have such fond feelings for it.

Really unrelated, but I just finished STOLEN by Lucy Christopher and I couldn't remember which book blog had recommended it... I thought it was you but I searched your blog and it doesn't seem as if you have read it. It is YA and haunting and beautiful!

  13. Michelle, I know I'm going to. May have to order it, though. Can't find this edition around these parts.

Emily, I actually got STOLEN for my birthday a few days ago. Can't wait to start it! Thanks for letting me know you loved it.

Carla, woman. You must read this now. You will love.

Allison, haha! Awesome. You know, I'm not sure if I've read FAST WOMEN or not. I don't think I have. May need to pick it up since you love it.

I've been a bit scarce round these parts of late and I feel badly about it. But there is a good reason and I've been waiting until today to share it with you. Just so I could include one rather pertinent detail. It's a boy! Fortunately I'm at the point where I'm starting to feel better, so things should soon start resembling business as usual around here. I, for one, am relieved.

Forever Blog Tour + Giveaway!

I'm awfully excited to be a part of this unique blog tour in celebration of the release of Forever by the insanely talented Maggie Stiefvater .  Scholastic recently launched an online community called  This Is Teen  to connect readers with their favorite YA authors and books. Visit their page on   Facebook   for all the latest news on   Maggie Stiefvater   and   Forever .  Each stop on the tour is hosting a particular character from the Wolves of Mercy Falls trilogy, and I have the good luck to be the stop for Sam--my favorite emo-wolfboy!  Sam is so very endearing, in a decidedly non-angsty or overt way. His breathtaking blend of maturity and vulnerability tugs at my heartstrings and the strength of his relationship with Grace is unswerving.  He is warm and thoughtful and artistic, and I liked him right from the start of the series . Because I can't resist, here are two of my favorite Sam quotes, the first from Grace's point of view in  Shiver and the second from Sam&
